Pele's Amazing Hot Lava Flow
The Big Island of Hawaii is an incredible place for the adventurous soul... a land of rich diversity and delicious contrasts, a natural, rejuvenating place that invites you to realx and enjoy the opening of your heart. There are 13 climate zones on Earth and the Big Island has 11 of them, from tropical rain forest to subarctic tundra. Imagine hiking or driving along dramatic sea cliffs, cascading waterfalls and deeply carved gorges in the morning, trekking out across seas of black lava in the afternoon, and arriving back home to your hotel in the desert at night. There are dolphins to swim with, sea turtles to snorkel beside, sacred sites to visit, horses to ride with Hawaiian cowboys, stars to watch, and most amazing of all, hot lava to watch as flows from the Earth's core.In fact, it's the hot lava and Pele's amazing creative force that draw us back to the island 4-5 times a year. You see, the Big Island is one of the only places on earth where you can go to watch the land being born.And no visit to the Big Island would be complete without a visit to Volcanoes National Park to pay your respects to Madame Pele. Hawaiian tradition teaches us that Kilauea Crater at Volcanoes National Park is the home of Madame Pele, the Hawaiian goddess of fire.Her power is amazing, and the direction and force of the hot lava flow can change in an instant.Below are several photos from recent trips we have made to honor Pele and watch her amazing hot lava flow!

Swimming with DolphinsIf you have never had the extreme joy and honor of swimming with the dolphins in the wild, you don't know what you are missing! Dolphins are one of God's most intelligent, beautiful, and graceful creatures on the face of the Earth. They have an incredible energy about them, and are known to be among the most advanced creatures that science has ever studied. Recent scientific research is measuring the highly evolved communication system of dolphins and their ability to telepathically communicate.

Many people who swim with dolphins report dramatic differences in how they feel emotionally, physically and enegetically after being with dolphins.Regardless of what science says about dolphins, though, all we can say after swimming with these gentle creatures on the Kona coast of Hawaii is WOW!

Here are several shots from a personal coaching retreat trip to the Big Island in July 2003, when we were lucky enough to swim with a pod of over 60 dolphins one day, and then with a gorgeous pod of about 20 dolphins and their babies the next day. We felt so incredibly blessed by the experience and are still on a high whenever we think of that trip!
